On Thursday evening 23 August the practice match against our Beek en Donk table tennis friends took place in Beek en Donk. Last year the first edition in Stiphouse was a great success. Reason to hold the return meeting in Beek en Donk this year. Both Een en Twintig and Stiphout had 5 teams on their feet, some even consisting of 4 people. There were 16 participants from TTV Stiphout and Een en Twintig had 17.
In a warm playroom, there was a lot of sweating. In the canteen, that sweat was regularly replenished with fluid, for example from the tap. The friendly match was very enjoyable! Host on behalf of Een en Twintig, Stephan Hamelijnck, announced the final result just after 23:00.
Where TTV Stiphout won reasonably convincingly at home last year, this time it was very close: 29-30, but still just in favor of TTV Stiphout. But the most important thing was that this was seen as a side issue. The conviviality was especially important and the mutual bond was well strengthened. Frenklin thanked the hosts and hostesses for the pleasant reception and sporty evening and invited TTV Een en Twintig to come to Stiphouse again next year! This was met with approving applause.
